Rock and roll has been around for more than 50 years now, and it’s come a long way since those early days. It’s safe to say that when pioneers like Elvis Presley and Bill Haley and the Comets started shaking up the music world with a new sound that they had no idea what a revolution they were starting. And they never could have imagined how rock and roll would become part of our daily lives through our iPods, iPhones, MP3 players and HD and satellite radio (and we can’t forget about the few people who still have regular ol’ radio, CD players or, heaven forbid, cassette players).

Other Hot Concert Tickets

The rock concert has also undergone tremendous change. Concert tours are so much more elaborate now with lasers, pyrotechnics and incredible sound systems, and getting good concert tickets can be a challenge. Many of the rock and roll greats, like the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, the Police and Led Zeppelin Tickets, only tour every few years, and some of those bands only hit the road every decade or two. That means rock concert tickets are always in demand, so many rock fans are thankful that it’s easy to snap up great seats through an online ticket broker.

And if the classic rock acts aren’t for you, there are plenty of up-and-coming bands worth seeing in concert, and bands that maybe haven’t quite been around long enough to achieve classic status just yet, like Dave Matthews Band or Pearl Jam. And if you want to see a wide variety of acts, nothing beats the value of music festival tickets, like Ozzfest, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo or the Vans Warped Tour.

With all the technology we have available today, sometimes the live concert experience is overlooked. But no matter how many songs you have on your iPod, it can’t match the feeling of having concert tickets to your favorite band and seeing them perform live and in person.
