Morrissey Concert Review

Morrissey, the iconic solo artist and former Smith’s frontman has been performing week-long standing gigs on the West Coast. Auralgasms had the pleasure to see him in an intimate one-night stand ‘Theatre’ setting on October 19, 2007 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre.

Falling somewhere between the sounds of shoegaze and alt-country, Daniel Land & The Modern Painters have been described as what might have happened if Paul Simon had discovered ambient, rather than African music in the 1980’s.

Alan Lidden spoke with the band about track titles, indecipherable lyrics and the ruralness of the British countryside.

Adam Franklin Interview

Throughout the 90’s, Adam Franklin was the frontman behind shoegaze legends Swervedriver, penning such classic songs as “Duel” and “Never Lose That Feeling.” After some experimentation into space-folk territory with his project Toshack Highway, Adam is back with a solo album titled Bolts of Melody, a record full of melodic rock songs and trippy pschedelic instrumentals that is sure to appeal to Swervedriver fans. While on tour in support of the album, Adam Franklin talked with Auralgasms about his new release and the shoegaze movement

Auralgasms is happy to announce a brand new show on Auralgasms Radio. The show will be hosted by……YOU ! That’s right…Auralgasms will make you the DJ for one night. Every Monday night from 10 – 11 pm EST, there will be a different guest DJ. This is your opportunity to share your favorites with the community.
